Numerical study of intake flow field inside the high-speed refrigeration scroll compressor with spiral suction channels in the motor rotor

To control the temperature of electric motor, suction gas is introduced flowing through motor in hermetic scroll compressors. For high-speed compressors, this flow resistance high, which results decreasing efficiency. In paper, spiral channels were designed inside rotor to decrease and increase refrigerant rate compressor. Simulation was carried out. Two structure straight intake brought into simulation model, under 3000 rpm, 5000 7000 rpm 9000 rpm. The showed that could pressure compressor, with speed, effect supercharging improved. At at port compressor increased by about 4% using channels, while mass 6%. increases total are mainly due unblocked channels. size layout balance weight have a great on flow.
